Smart Futures programme: Register for a free engineer visit to your secondary school
Every year the STEPS team arranges hundreds of free school visits, linking up volunteer engineers with local schools and equipping them with an engaging, interactive presentation about engineering.
The Smart Futures programme, in association with ICT Ireland (IBEC), aims to increase the uptake of careers in engineering and technology. The programme sends enthusiastic industry volunteers into secondary schools to speak about the diversity of engineering or technology as a career. It allows students to remain in their own classroom environment and opens an arena for them to ask questions.
Each engineer who visits your school will be able to give a presentation to facilitate an informative and interactive session in the school.
Secondary school teachers, simply fill out the form below and a member of the STEPS team will be in touch when an engineer has been found to visit your school. These visits are free of charge.
All fields are mandatory. Please don't put spaces or dashes in the phone number field.
[Primary teachers, please note that registration for visits is currently closed.]
