Engineers Ireland Excellence Awards

Engineers Ireland recognises and values the amount of work that our volunteers provide in ensuring the future pipeline of engineers to this country. Each year, during the Engineers Ireland Excellence Awards, a volunteer engineer will be awarded with the Volunteer of the Year award, based upon their contribution to engineering awareness and outreach.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

The time spent by volunteers involved with any STEPS event is considered to be part of their continuous professional development. A volunteer will be able to claim up to 3 days CPD per annum (the equivalent of 6 presentations) for visiting schools as a STEPS volunteer.
